My name is Cara Lucas. My husband and I recently had some changes in our family and we have thought long and hard and come to the decision to find a better suited home for our two chihuahuas. Unfortunately we feel the dogs are no longer getting the attention they deserve. Both dogs are up to date on their shots and dental. We can provide their medical information, if requested.
Chance is a 5 year old long haired chihuahua from a pure bred breeder out of Annapolis, Maryland. He is a sweetheart, loves to be outside and go for walks. He gets along with dogs his size or shorter (such as chihuahuas and dachshunds). He loves to snuggle but is also independent. He knows tricks such as sit, down, roll over, paw and army crawl. He is trained to go potty outside and is puppy pad trained.
Maggie is an 8 year old short haired chihuahua. She loves attention and being held. She gets along fine with other dogs – she may bark at first, but is very independent when it comes to playing with other dogs. She’d rather be sleeping or being held. She is trained to go potty outside and is puppy pad trained. She also knows tricks!
We would love for the dogs to be re-homed together, but know that with the right home they would be fine being separate.
We are happy to keep the dogs until we could find a new home for them and would let the new owners try them out first to make sure they were a good fit. This has been a hard decision for us to make, but we want them to get the time and attention they deserve.
